Service Learning is about giving back to the community. JROTC is a big believer in Service Learning because it motivates young people to become better citizens, which is the overall mission of JROTC. Every year the program participates in a variety of Service Learning projects chosen by the cadets. The cadets are given the opportunity through the project to learn how to identify the needs of their community as well as how to plan and take action based on those needs. These projects sometimes include canned food drives, which is donated straight to the community  food closet. Cadets also participated in yearly clean ups, setting up main street decor, refurbishing barns, and assisting the elderly.
